St Ethelburgas Bishopsgate, London

St Ethelburga's Interior

Prince Charles at St Ethelburga's

In 1993 St Ethelburgas Church in Bishopgate London was severely damaged by a terrorist bomb. It was feared that the Church originally built in 1250, was beyond repair. When it was decided that rebuilding was an option Norman & Underwood and their skilled craftsmen were called in. The Stained Glass Division was involved in major repair and restoration work on several windows. The Glazing Systems Division installed floor to ceiling structural glazing glass.
The Church is now open again and houses a centre focusing on religions role in conflict and the part it can play in resolving war.
