The Zodiac Well, Sedbergh

The owners of this country house discovered a hidden 30ft well in its grounds and set about excavating it. Restoration specialist from Wales were brought in to rebuild the well and the surrounding York stone patio. Once completed, the owners were looking for some extra special finishing touches to set off the restored well's perimeter. They installed specialist lighting and a protective glass domed cover. It was decided that Norman & Underwood would provide the finishing touches and were instructed cast a set of impressive lead zodiac signs to decorate its edges. Several contractors on this job reported hearing voices coming from the supposedly haunted well! |
