Norman & Underwood have completed the contract for the replacement of timbers and repair of the four roofs on the Abbey Gatehouse
Bristol Cathedral was given cathedral status in 1542 and is on the site of an abbey where St Augustine is reputed to have met St David.
Norman & Underwood worked on the roofs of the building which was the 12th Century Gatehouse to the Augustian Chapel.
The work involved the replacement of timbers and 100 year old lead on the four roofs. The restoration was funded by English Heritage.
