Harlaxton Manor Harlaxton Manor Norman & Underwood have been awarded a re-roofing contract which involves the re-slating of the tower, dining block and kitchen block. This will include the renewal of all lead works and associated carpentry. Masonry work to the chimneys will also be carried out. The contract will commence in December 2003 and should be complete by August 2004. Harlaxton Manor was built in the 1830s for Gregory Gregory, a wealthy Nottinghamshire businessman, to replace the original Elizabethan Manor House in Harlaxton Village.
