Making Bath Time Childs Play
Banditos Bathroom
Bathrooms designed specifically with children and teenagers in mind are becoming a common feature in many homes these days.

The popularity of additional en-suite bath or shower rooms means that households no longer need to share one ‘family’ bathroom, so the main bathroom becomes the sole preserve of the kids.

While mum and dad enjoy the peaceful sanctuary provided by en-suite facilities, younger members of the family can splash around to their hearts’ content in their own bathroom.

In recent months Leicester bathroom supplier Norman & Underwood has seen increasing numbers of customers shopping for its Villeroy & Boch suites purely for the children’s use.

Rob Betts, manager of the company’s bathroom showroom in St Peters Lane, added: “It is a growing trend and one that looks likely to continue as more homes include one if not two en-suite bath or shower rooms.”
“Creating a bathroom just for the children is seen as a way of giving younger members of the household more independence and freedom of choice.”

Villeroy & Boch, the upmarket German bathroom manufacturer, has responded to this trend by introducing exciting ranges which put the fun into functionality.

Its Banditos range is cleverly designed for little people, incorporating among other safety features, a projecting washbasin, a tap fitting with integrated anti-scalding protection, a tilting mirror and a pull-out step in the child-friendly floor cabinet.

And to make bath time child’s play, the Banditos comprehensive selection of matching accessories even has its own cartoon character, Vibo the racoon who appears on everything from towels to toothbrush holders.”

Peter Gledhill, general manager of Norman & Underwood’s Bathrooms & Plumbing Division, said: “Another advantage of the Banditos range is that it can be easily adapted to meet the family’s needs as the children grow.”

“Just a few small modifications are required to transform it at first into a teenager’s bathroom and then ultimately into a guest bathroom when the children leave home.”
