All Saints’ Cathedral, Wakefield was founded in 1888 and is Listed Grade I as a building of outstanding architectural and historical importance.
The Cathedral stands on the site of a Saxon church with the present building constructed mainly during the 14th and 15th centuries in the Perpendicular style. The building was restored during the 19th century by George Gilbert Scott. The East End was completed between1900-1905 to designs by J L Pearson.
Norman & Underwood stripped, recast and relayed the lead roofing to East End of Cathedral.
