The new state-of-the art courthouse in Chelmsford was built to help improve the capacity and facilities of the magistrates courts in Essex. It includes five magistrates courtrooms and a Crown courtroom to handle the full range of criminal and family cases.
Norman & Underwood undertook the installation of the curtain walling, windows and vertical brise soleil systems. We also installed the steel and automatic aluminium doors used throughout the courthouse.
Scope of work
- installation of Schuco FW60+ and FW60+SG curtain walling screens of varying sizes
- installation of AWS 70 BS HI & AWS 102 SK punch hole windows
- installation of metal and automatic doors.
