Lace Market Square

Norman & Underwood provided specialist glazing services for this high quality office and residential development close to Nottingham’s historic lace market, a protected heritage site.

On the main elevation to Lace Market Square, Norman & Underwood installed an intricate bespoke curtain wall screen, using the Kawneer AA100 thermally broken curtain walling system. The screen has concealed opening lights and an attractive white horizontal frit pattern on a grey backing panel.  A high performance glass specification had to be used to achieve both the U-values and acoustic values required for planning approval.

In the residential apartments (St Mary’s Gate and Warser Gate elevations), we installed Kawneer AA601 thermally broken casement windows and AA605 door system.  The windows feature centre mullions to satisfy planning requirements.

  • installation of Kawneer curtain walling, window and door systems
