The residential apartments (St Mary’s Gate and Warser Gate elevations) use Kawneer 601 thermally broken casement windows. These windows feature centre mullions to satisfy planning approval. The main elevation to Lace Market Square has an intricate bespoke curtain wall screen, using the Kawneer AA100 system, which contains concealed opening lights and has an attractive white horizontal frit pattern on a grey backing panel. To meet planning approval a high performance glass specification had to be used to achieve both the required U-values and acoustic values.
