Situated in the shadow of Westminster Abbey, the four star St Ermins is one of the most individual luxury hotels in London.
Norman & Underwood’s Glazing division was commissioned to undertake the glazing works for a £15m development project to convert office space into a new gym and create 87 new rooms.
The installation of new curtain walling and windows to the third floor and above had to take place while the hotel was fully operational, creating restricted working conditions. The work was further complicated by the architect-specified glass which featured a vertical red and yellow striped pattern on one face and ceramic on another.
