Norman & Underwood glaziers specialise in stained glass restoration and conservation using traditional skills, methods and materials.
We have extensive experience in the repair and conservation of historic and often priceless windows from all periods, including leaded, stained and decorative glass and associated metalwork. Our craftsmen can also design and create bespoke new stained glass windows and screens using traditional techniques.
To protect stained glass in vulnerable locations, we can fabricate, supply and fix high quality shaped stainless steel powder coated protective guards.
Norman & Underwood also specialises in the restoration and creation of new plain glazing for traditional buildings.
Norman & Underwood helped restore St Ethelburga’s, the historic church in Bishopsgate ravaged by an IRA bomb nearly 12 years ago. It was initially feared that the damage was so severe that the church, which dates from 1250, would have to be pulled down.
