The client required a grey finish metal roofing material which needed to be sustainable and maintenance free so, after detailed discussions, the decision was made to use 0.5mm Uginox FME terne coated stainless steel with standing seams spaced at 500mm centres. This has given the house the desired clean and modern look.
An interesting point is that the six integrated roof light flashings supplied by the window company could not be integrated into this standing seam roofing system, therefore a stainless steel guttering with associated flashing system was specially fabricated to accommodate this.
The house is situated in a built up village location so great care was needed to both ensure the project was completed to the highest standard and that there was minimum disruption to surrounding properties. We are pleased to report that the work has met with wide approval from the local community.
